Destination Introduction

Baiyanggou Nature Scenic Area is located in the northwest of Liucun Town, Changping District, connected to the ancient Song Dynasty Great Wall ruins with a long history. It neighbors Nankou Town, an important town in northern Beijing, and stretches 12 kilometers in length. It is a key component of the 100-li circular tourism corridor of Liucun. The Baiyanggou Nature Scenic Area lies in the mountain-front warm belt, rich in resources, with lush vegetation, beautiful environment, and unique scenery. The entire scenic area is dotted with rare flowers and plants, majestic peaks, and peculiar rocks, preserving numerous natural landscapes and offering a strong sense of wilderness. The area features springs, rivers, and waterfalls that flow year-round in all four seasons, with exceptionally clear water quality.

Based on geographical location, the entire scenic area is divided into three zones: the "Fishing Welcome Zone," the "Book Valley & Music Gorge Immortal Gathering Zone," and the "Stone Song & Water Melody Lyrical Zone." We have developed more than twenty scenic spots across these three areas, among which the representative ones include the Gushing Water Gorge, Water Curtain Cave, Yu Xian Terrace Waterfall, Dragon Palace, Turtle & Dragon Moon Peeking, Yin-Yang Bare Butt Rocks, and Stone Cup.

The entire scenic area offers dining and accommodation options of different flavors and characteristics, with a daily capacity to host 300 people. There are various price ranges—high, medium, and low. Among them, the most distinctive are local wild mountain vegetables and traditional farmhouse meals. At night, guests can enjoy various recreational activities such as setting off fireworks, karaoke, bonfire parties, as well as hosting small and medium-sized conferences or enjoying a family summer vacation.

The scenic area contains 27 attractions, divided into three parts and eight major scenic zones. The three parts are: the "Leisure Fishing Welcome Zone," the "Book Valley & Music Gorge Immortal Gathering Zone," and the "Stone Song & Water Melody Lyrical Zone." The eight major scenic zones are: Baiyangcheng Ancient Garden Scenic Zone, Leisure Fishing Welcome Zone, Loess Mountains Hiking Zone, Poetry & Water Melody Lyrical Zone, Yulinzhai Planting & Breeding Base, Huanglou Great Wall Tourist Zone, Huangchang Special Breeding Base, and Xiaotianshan Pasture. Numerous vivid myths and legends are scattered across the rolling mountains.

Within the scenic area, there are historical sites such as the Qing Dynasty Jiaqing-era Qingwang Tomb Ruins, Yang Liulang’s Golden Spear Well, Mu Guiying’s Wang’er Tuo (Looking-at-Son Mound), ancient Baiyangcheng Ruins and beacon towers built during the Ming Dynasty, as well as Wangjiayuan Reservoir. Scenic spots within the area include Little Huashan, Qinglong Pool, Gushing Water Gorge, Luohan Peak, Bathing Immortal Terrace, Turtle & Dragon Moon Peeking, and Martyred Maiden Cliff. By car: Take the Badaling Expressway from Madian Bridge, exit at Nankou Town, head west, then turn northwest toward Baiyanggou Xinjian Village via Liucun Town.

By bus: Take bus 345, 345 Branch Line, or 845 from Deshengmen to Changping, then transfer to bus 357 to Liucun, and take a minibus from there.
