In recent years, suburban outings in Longquan have quietly gained popularity, forming a holiday tourism route centered around the ancient Baiyunyan site and connecting various scenic spots such as Baiyunyan Rock, Yunyan Mountain Villa, Jiutan Shiba Wan (Nine Pools and Eighteen Bends), Baiyun Waterfall, Yunwu Ancient Village, Yunwu Academy, and Shimajiao Ecological Valley. The loop area covers a total of approximately five square kilometers, collectively referred to as the Baiyunyan Scenic Area, spanning about 7,900 acres, with elevations ranging from 216 to 535 meters. It is shaped like a pouch, surrounded by high mountains, with a valley in the middle where the Yan Zhang Stream and Baishui Gully converge, flowing out toward the urban Longquan River from the pouch’s opening. Looking up at the peaks, Baiyunyan is steep and rugged, Shimafeng Peak stands tall, and Xiayang Village dominates the dam upstream. With views of the stream, rock cliffs, terraced fields with ancient camphor trees, cascading waterfalls, and deep pools, visitors can feel an uplifting sense of tranquility and refreshment.

The various scenic spots of Baiyunyan are located about three kilometers northwest of the city and are all accessible by road and walking trails. Transportation is very convenient, with direct suburban buses to the scenic area. Entertainment, leisure, and vacation facilities are readily available, making it an ideal destination for friends’ gatherings and for visitors to explore.
