The Light and Sound Music Concert in the Beinan Zhiben Hot Spring Area to Kick Off on the 29th; Traffic Control Measures to Be Implemented

The Taitung County Government is organizing “2017 Taiwan Hot Air Balloon Festival Series Events – Light and Sound Music Concert in the Beinan Zhiben Hot Spring Area.” Scheduled for July 29, 2017 (Saturday) from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, the hot air balloon light and sound music concert will take place at the levee square outside the Zhiben Hot Spring Area in Beinan Township. The Taitung Police Precinct will implement traffic guidance, control, and safety measures around the venue and its surrounding roads.

During the event, the organizers will feature hot air balloon flight performances by pilots as well as various light and sound music shows, which are expected to attract enthusiastic public participation. Given that the event falls on a weekend during the summer vacation period, the public is advised not to park temporarily or allow street vendors to linger within the controlled area, in order to enhance public safety and ensure smooth traffic flow at the tourist attraction, thereby contributing to the successful completion of the event.

I. Nearby Parking Areas: (1) Large Vehicles: Park at the parking lot next to the Four-Faced Buddha (Parking Lot A) or the parking lot located below the entrance at 79.5k on Longquan Road (Parking Lot). (2) Passenger Cars (4 locations in total): (1) Small vehicle parking lot below the entrance at 79.5K on Longquan Road (in front of the Yuntang House sign) (Parking Lot C). (2) Single-side parking zone along the flood prevention road near Yongnan Bridge, to be used sequentially (the organizer will set up parking signs; Parking Zone D). (3) Parking at Zhiben Elementary School’s parking lot and playground (Parking Lot E). (4) Parking at Dongyouji Hot Spring Resort. (5) For VIPs and media vehicles: parking lot below the entrance at 79.5K on Longquan Road (in front of the Yuntang House sign) (Parking Lot B). (3) Motorcycle Parking Zone: Motorcycles should park sequentially along Longquan Road.

II. Vehicle Control Measures (1) Apart from road usage rights applied for by the organizer, all participating vehicles (cars, motorcycles, and permitted vehicles – those holding VIP or media credentials) will be directed by organizer staff to the media and VIP-only parking area at the parking lot below the entrance at 79.5K on Longquan Road (in front of the Yuntang House sign) (Parking Lot B). (2) Small vehicles without VIP, media, or journalist credentials are prohibited from entering the media and VIP parking area (Parking Lot B) starting at 4:00 PM. (3) All control points around the venue will enforce restrictions starting at 4:00 PM until the end of the event, and vehicles parked in areas not designated for parking will be advised to leave. (4) The controlled intersections for this event are primarily based on the road sections for which the organizer has applied for usage rights from the township office. Aside from regularly scheduled bus routes through the hot spring area, large vehicles and shuttle buses for the event will enter the venue via Zhiben Bridge. Small vehicles and motorcycles will enter via Lane 408 of Zhenquan Road, then proceed through Yongnan Bridge to reach the venue. Upon event conclusion, vehicles will exit through Zhiben Bridge, Yongnan Bridge, and the Zhiben River flood prevention road (two-way traffic without restrictions).

The Taitung Police Precinct stated that police will strengthen safety maintenance, traffic guidance, and control around the event venue and its adjacent roads. The public is urged to cooperate with police instructions and observe traffic order to enhance the quality of tourism at the county’s scenic spots.
