Tianping Mountain, a municipal-level scenic area, stands at an elevation of 1,267 meters, spanning hundreds of acres with a flat surface as smooth as a whetstone. In ancient times, there was the Lengyan Temple, originally built during the Song Dynasty, renovated in the Qianlong era of the Qing Dynasty, and further expanded during the Daoguang period, becoming even more magnificent. Nestled within the dense forests, it formed a scenic wonder. The mountain paths are winding with steep ridges. During the Tongzhi era, local residents raised funds to pave over 30 li of stone steps along the ridge. Halfway up the ridge, there was a stream of clear spring water where a "Listening to the Spring" pavilion was once built. Now, at the mountaintop, there is Tianping Lake, covering an area of 60 mu. The emerald-green spring water originating from the bottom of the lake is extremely rare. Ancient temples by the lakeside are reflected in the water, creating a uniquely charming scene. The area features competing peaks, misty clouds, shimmering waters, and the roaring of pine winds, making it an ideal summer retreat. Wildflowers emit their delicate fragrance in all four seasons, and mountain fruits are available for picking year-round. Its ten major scenic spots—the White Rock, Dark-Glowing Stone Buddha, Zhu Yuanzhang Seeking Generals in Heaven, as well as the bridal sedan, official hat, stone seal, crane, vulture, golden bell, and sky-supporting rock pillar—are not only strikingly lifelike but also surrounded by beautiful and touching folk legends.
