Xiangbian Ancient Residence

Xiangbian Ancient Residence is located in Xiangbian Village, Anren Town, and is an ancient residential building from the Ming and Qing dynasties. The building covers an area of 900 square meters, with a longitudinal rectangular floor plan. Along the central axis are, in sequence, a gatehouse, a courtyard, a front hall, and a corridor. On the east side are wing rooms. The front hall has five bays with a total width of 19.9 meters and a depth of 9.7 meters. Both halls feature hanging gable roofs, ancient mirror-shaped wooden column bases, alternating yin-yang clay tiles, a courtyard paved with cobblestones, and surrounding stone walls built with strip stones. The stone surfaces are carved with ancient coin designs. The beam and bracket structures imitate those of the Song Dynasty and are quite spectacular.
