The Former Residence of Chen Ying-shi was built in the late Qing Dynasty as a large courtyard complex originally named “Wuchangli.” Today, two sections of the building remain. The west section has three courtyards, with the first one, “Cuncheng Hall,” being the venue where local figures held a memorial service for Chen Ying-shi after his assassination. The east section has five courtyards. The residence is a typical example of traditional Jiangnan-style residential architecture.

The Former Residence of Chen Ying-shi is the place where Chen Ying-shi grew up and holds significant meaning for commemorating the martyr and providing patriotic education.

Name Origin: Guiwu Friendship Community is adjacent to the former Yunkai Road in Yunyan District (now the southern section of Xintian Avenue). It got its name because it administers the Friendship Garden residential community.

Geographic Location: Guiwu Friendship Community is located at No. 16 Guiwu North Road. It borders Baihua Mountain to the east, Guiyang Medical University to the west, Dayingpo to the north, and Beijing East Road to the south. It is 0.5 km from the Guiwu Office and 1 km from the Yunyan District Government.
