Taipei YouBike Smile: 7 New Rental Stations Starting August 7

As more people opt for YouBike as a commuting option, the Taipei City Department of Transportation announced that starting August 7, seven new YouBike rental stations will be added at Emei Parking Lot, Kaifeng Xining Intersection, Dongyuan Elementary School, Wanhua Xingning Intersection, Taipei Hakka Cultural Theme Park, Taipei Flower and Plant Wholesale Market, and Wuxing Bus Terminal. This brings the total number of YouBike stations in the city to 92, with 2,964 public bicycles available.

According to the Taipei Department of Transportation, among the newly launched rental stations, Emei Parking Lot, Kaifeng Xining Intersection, Dongyuan Elementary School, and Wanhua Xingning Intersection are all located in Wanhua District, providing residents there with more convenient transit services. Meanwhile, Wuxing Bus Terminal is situated at the end of Songren Road in Xinyi District, offering easy transfers to Taipei City Hall MRT Station.

In terms of the number of docking stations at the new locations, Emei Parking Lot will have 21 docking columns (42 bike slots), Kaifeng Xining Intersection 21 (42), Dongyuan Elementary School 18 (36), Wanhua Xingning Intersection 26 (52), Taipei Hakka Cultural Park 16 (32), Taipei Flower and Plant Wholesale Market 19 (38), and Wuxing Bus Terminal 18 (36). Additionally, 224 more bicycles will be added.
