Huzhou Martyrs' Memorial Hall

The Huzhou Martyrs' Memorial Hall was established by the people of Huzhou to commemorate the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in various historical periods. It is located on the first floor of the main building. The museum is divided into seven sections: the Preface Hall, the Glorious Cause of the 1911 Revolution, The Epoch-Making Founding of the CPC, Perseverance in Struggle, Saving the Nation from Peril, The Liberation Campaign, and Stepping into the New Era. Through a wealth of textual and pictorial materials—especially letters, notes, and personal belongings—as well as scene reconstructions and other exhibition methods, it displays the names and life stories of over 1,000 martyrs either from Huzhou or closely associated with the city.

Chengnan Village: Chengnan Village in Daochang Township, Wuxing District, is located at the southern gateway of Huzhou’s urban center. With the acceleration of urbanization, most residents of the original eight villager groups have transitioned from agricultural to non-agricultural status due to land requisition. The village now covers an area of 2.13 square kilometers, with a total population of 1,156, including 29 Party members, 29 League members, and 7 village cadres. The majority of the village’s labor force is engaged in the tertiary industry. Over the past few years, the village Party branch and village committee have taken it upon themselves to strengthen the village and enrich its people.
