Huzhou Qianye Guild Hall

The Huzhou Qianye Guild Hall is a cultural relic protection unit of Zhejiang Province.

The Qianye Guild Hall is located at No. 80 Gongyuan Road, Huzhou Park. It is the largest garden-style guild hall in the Jiangnan region and a key cultural relic protection unit of Huzhou City. Established in the 29th year of the Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty (1903), it was funded by local financiers and functioned as a hub for office work, meetings, discussions, and worship of the God of Wealth among money exchange professionals during the late Qing and early Republican eras. As a private financial institution, it primarily dealt with deposit, loan, and remittance services, operating mainly in the Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai areas. It played a positive role in boosting the economic development of Huzhou at the time.
