The site of the Wachu Pavilion is a cultural heritage protection unit of Huzhou City.

The site of the Wachu Pavilion is located at Xianshan Mountain south of Huzhou City in Daochang Township, Wuxing District. It dates back to the Tang Dynasty and is classified as an ancient architectural structure.

In October 1994, the site of the Wachu Pavilion was designated as a municipal-level cultural heritage protection unit.

Daochang Township: Located at the southern gateway of Huzhou’s urban center, Daochang Township is a “feng shui treasure” in the southern suburbs, dotted with rivers, lakes, and creeks amid green hills and clear waters. Since ancient times, it has been known as a picturesque land abundant in fish, rice, silk, and cultural relics. With a rich cultural tradition and a landscape crisscrossed by fields and paths, the township covers an area of 75.56 square kilometers, encompassing 12 administrative villages, 180 villager groups, 6,030 households, and a total population of 20,971 people. It has 18,000 mu of cultivated land and 52,000 mu of mountainous land.
