Wushan River-Crossing Landing Monument

The Wushan River-Crossing Landing Monument is a cultural tourism attraction and a classic site of red tourism.

The Wushan River-Crossing Landing Monument is located atop Wushan Mountain in Gangkou Town. It was erected to commemorate the victory of the 253rd and 255th Regiments of the 85th Division, 29th Army, 10th Corps, Third Field Army of the Chinese People's Liberation Army during the river-crossing campaign. The monument was completed and unveiled on April 20, 1992.

The main body of the monument is made of polished Sichuan red granite, measuring 5.55 meters in length, 0.4 meters in width, and 3.1 meters in height. The base is constructed from light gray Jinshan stone, adorned with wave carvings, and stands 0.75 meters high, 4.05 meters long, and 1.4 meters wide.

The foundation of the monument is made of light gray Jinshan stone, measuring 8.75 meters in length and 4.6 meters in width. The front of the monument is inscribed with the eight large characters “Landing Memorial of the River-Crossing Campaign,” while the back records a summary of the river-crossing landing.

The monument faces north and south. When viewed from the north, the site of the original landing operation can be discerned, while facing south recreates the scene of the advancing offensive after the landing.
