Xuzhou Folk Museum is situated on Hubu Mountain, a historic hill in Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province. Housed within well-preserved Ming and Qing dynasty houses, it is a specialized museum primarily focused on collecting, exhibiting, and studying the region’s folk artifacts and culture. The site spans more than 6,000 square meters, with over 2,700 square meters of building area, featuring more than 160 ancient residences and displaying over 1,000 folk cultural relics. It includes permanent exhibits such as the Folk Belief Hall, Longevity Ceremony Hall, Wedding Custom Hall, Embroidery Hall, Plaque Hall, and Folk Craft Hall. There are also performances such as shadow puppetry, wedding ceremonies, and traditional costume shows. Additionally, large-scale folk culture temple fairs held during festivals not only enrich the cultural life of local residents but also attract numerous domestic and international tourists, making it an outstanding tourism resource yet to be fully developed.

Established and opened to the public on April 28, 2000. Among its ancient buildings, the Mandarin Duck Building stands out as a unique architectural feature in China. The museum also features a tea art room, a chess and card room, a folk craft souvenir shop, and offers services such as traditional weddings, birthday ceremonies, and baby welcoming rites. The affiliated folk art troupe provides performances of traditional opera, storytelling, celebratory music, and dance for various festive events.
