Hongze Lake Wetland Bird Watching Park

The bird species in the park are mainly egrets, especially cattle egrets, pond herons, grey herons, and little egrets. Recently, rare birds such as great bustards, white storks, and Reed Parrotbills have also been discovered. During peak habitation periods, the number of birds can reach hundreds of thousands, creating a spectacular scene. It has been designated by Jiangsu Province as an educational base for youth to learn about and protect birds.

Within the Bird Watching Park of Hongze Lake Wetland Forest Park, attractions such as Han Dao, Han Tombs, and Ming Dao have been opened to visitors. Along Han Dao, there are Eastern Han Dynasty terracotta figures of civil officials, military officers, and court ladies, as well as stone carvings of the White Tiger God Pillar and Azure Dragon God Pillar, along with Eastern Han tombs. Along Ming Dao, there are white marble gate blocks, white marble horse troughs, green crystal square ding vessels, and white marble round ding stone carvings.
