Main functions of the temple: Mountain Gate, Mahavira Hall, Scripture Depository (Dharma Hall), Bell and Drum Towers, Samantabhadra and Manjushri Halls, Ksitigarbha and Guanyin Halls, corridors on both sides – for monastic practice

Auxiliary functions of the temple: Abbot’s Quarters, Meditation Hall, Multi-purpose Hall, Dining Hall, Kitchen and Storage, Buddhist Academy, Guest Reception Hall, Dharma Item Distribution Office, God of Wealth Hall, Dragon King Hall, Reception Courtyard, Monks’ Dormitories (five dwelling units), Layperson Reception Area (six living units), and other life-related facilities.

Front Temple Square: The area in front of the main temple courtyard serves as the Front Temple Square. Based on the site conditions and functional requirements, the square is divided into two terraces. The upper terrace functions as a through-type square integrated with the waterfront scenic belt to form a unified whole. The lower terrace is connected via grand staircases, which not only resolve the elevation difference but also enhance the visual effect of the terraced square. The two terraces are linked by a symbolic two-section lotus pond. On the axis beside the exquisitely shaped lotus pond, a double-faced standing Buddha statue is erected, serving as a focal point that unifies the upper and lower squares as well as the entire temple complex.

After the completion of the Grand Buddha Temple and the waterfront square, the Front Temple Square will become a cultural hub for the residents of Jinhu County, suitable for hosting various cultural, religious, folk, and commemorative events (such as weddings), as well as seasonal temple activities. The semi-open Bell and Drum Towers on either side of the mountain gate will serve as celebration venues for Jinhu residents to ring in the New Year.
