Jinhu Leisure Agriculture Area
You might think fishing is the main industry in Yunlin Kouhu since industrial development isn’t prominent, making agriculture a key source of income. In earlier agrarian society, ingredients weren’t as easily accessible as today, so banquets mostly used local produce, and neighbors helped each other — that strong sense of community can be savored at the Jinhu Leisure Agriculture Area Visitor Service Center, where dishes made from nearby regional ingredients offer some of the best flavors.Click for more details:

Pig Strip & Ton-ya Goose
Xu Yihong, the third-generation of a pig farming family, saw stricter environmental regulations on pig farming after the foot-and-mouth disease outbreak years ago. His family switched to selling pork and the pigsty was left abandoned. To catch the wave of tourism development along the Yunlin–Chiayi coast, Xu revitalized the building by combining it with local industry and transformed the pigsty into a flavor restaurant. Must-tries include Ton-ya Goose, Ton-ya Pork Leg, and sausages. Click for more details:

Whether you’re alone, with a partner, or friends, quietly watching the sunset here leaves a deep impression. This small village hides many scenic spots that encourage you to slow down and savor time at its most beautiful.

Shuijing Community
Living by following water and grass is a natural behavior of animals, and a lake surrounded in the shape of a horseshoe with as many as seven wells serves as a water source base. Later, walls were added around it to give it a well-like appearance, and it came to be called Wells Village. The villagers inherited their ancestors' well-digging techniques, having dug countless wells across Taiwan. In the early agricultural era, the name of the wells became widely known. Strolling along the wooden boardwalks among the ponds feels especially leisurely. For more details, click here:

After a full decade of effort, he successfully bred the once nearly extinct horseshoe clams, which are now around 5–6 times larger than common clams.
