Tafandun Site

The Tafandun Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Jiangsu Province.

The Tafandun Site is located 300 meters south of Miaodazhuang Village, Tafan Village, Jinnan Town. It was discovered during the second cultural relics survey in 1984. The site is a circular earthen mound, approximately 4 meters high, with a diameter of about 80 meters and a total area of around 7,000 square meters. The cultural layer is about 2 meters thick. The preservation of this site holds significant scientific value for studying the distribution of human settlements and the origins of civilization in the Huai River basin.

Jinnan Town: A township under the jurisdiction of Jinhu County. Established as the Jinnan Commune in 1961 and reorganized as a township in 1983. Located in the southern part of the county, it borders Tianchang City of Anhui Province to the west and is 8 kilometers from the county seat. It covers an area of 34.2 square kilometers with a population of 12,000. County and township roads form a connected network within the area. The township administers 13 village committees: Chehong, Chedong, Chetang, Tafan, Wamiao, Songdun, Songba, Fengnan, Matang, Fengshou, Jinnan, Baimiao, and Shidun.
