Fujian Silkworm & Silk Tourism Scenic Area

Located in Fu'an Town, Dongtai City. The scenic area features silkworm farming experiences and the history and culture of silk production. It currently includes eight attractions: the Silkworm & Silk Culture Museum, Mulberry Picking & Tea Tasting Garden, Dyeing & Finishing Garden, Cocoon Capital Garden, Silk Gland Garden, Silk Garden, Science & Technology Garden, and Fu'an Building. It is recognized as a National Agricultural Tourism Demonstration Site. The Silkworm & Silk Culture Museum is a grand exhibition that systematically introduces the history and cultural knowledge of silk, as well as the industrialization process of silk production in Fu'an, showcasing a wide array of ancient and modern silk artifacts and products.

Mulberry Picking & Tea Tasting Garden: Equipped with simple silkworm rearing houses, visitors can observe the complete growth process of silkworms through their four developmental stages, as well as their cocoon spinning, truly understanding the meaning behind the phrase “Spring silkworms will spin until they die.”

Dyeing & Finishing Garden: Houses the world’s most advanced silk weaving, dyeing, and finishing production equipment.

Cocoon Capital Garden: Showcases the new residential culture of the Cocoon Capital’s new countryside, new culture, and new lifestyle.

Silk Gland Garden: Visitors can personally experience the silk reeling process. The Silk Garden displays the transformation from semi-finished to finished silk products.

Science & Technology Garden: Highlights advanced sericulture techniques and the unique “Fu’an Model.”

Transportation

It takes about one hour to drive from downtown Dongtai to Fu'an Town. From the Dongtai exit on the Coastal Expressway, it takes around 40 minutes to reach the scenic area.
