Tongyu River Scenic Area

The Tongyu River National Water Conservancy Scenic Area is located within the boundaries of Binhai and Xiangshui counties in the city. It stretches 40 kilometers north to south along the Tongyu River and 50 kilometers east to west along the Subei Irrigation Main Canal, covering an area of over 4,200 acres.

The scenic area mainly features views of the waves of the Yellow Sea, water conservancy project landscapes, and scenery along the route, while also allowing visitors to observe hydraulic facilities such as seawall projects. The area enjoys convenient land and water transportation, with interconnected sluice stations, a serene environment, and a rich history of water management and coastal salt culture.

It includes attractions such as a European-style square, a fishing center, and a paradise for thousands of birds, as well as supporting facilities like a water conservancy hotel. It is a national water conservancy scenic area that integrates tourism, leisure vacations, conference reception, educational visits, recreational fitness, and science education.
