The park is the only large-scale ecological forest park along the Jiangsu coast. It lies to the east by the Yellow Sea and the Coastal Highway, and to the west by the Tongjiang Expressway and the Xinchang Railway. Covering a total area of 3,000 hectares, with 2,500 hectares of forested land, the park features flat terrain and distinct seasons, with a forest coverage rate of over 80%. It is an ecological sanctuary, a premier destination for sightseeing, tourism, and leisure, as well as a “green oxygen bar” where humans and nature blend harmoniously.

Evaluated by experts, Yellow Sea Forest Park is a provincial-level forest park rich in natural charm and abundant in tourism resources.

In terms of forest scenery, the park boasts unique views and convenient transportation. Stepping into the park feels like entering a “sea of green.” The planted forests are neatly arranged with beautiful landscapes that remain lush all year round. The metasequoia forests within the park are highly scenic; the bamboo groves are elegant and refined, offering visitors the refined feeling of ancient scholars who “show integrity before emerging from the earth and remain humble even when towering tall,” providing an aesthetic enjoyment of noble taste. The ginkgo forests transport you back to the Cretaceous Period, with vast expanses of these ancient trees...

These “living fossils” remind you of how the ancient city of Dongtai was once a poetic and picturesque natural paradise. The poplar forests, covering thousands of hectares, are lush, vigorous, and tall, creating waves of green when the breeze passes—sometimes resembling a wild herd of horses, untamed and free, other times whispering softly, evoking a subtle and elegant mood. During the peak flowering and fruiting seasons, the pear and peach orchards are especially stunning.
