Xianhu Modern Agriculture Demonstration Park

A provincial four-star rural tourism area, located beside the new National Highway 204, on the south side of Beihai West Road at the western entrance of Taicheng. The park’s core area covers a total of 133.3 hectares, centered around the 40-hectare artificial lake “Xianhu” (Fairy Lake), and is divided into three major functional zones: the modern agriculture exhibition area, the high-efficiency horticulture demonstration area, and the agricultural sightseeing tourism area. In the center of the park, the 40-hectare Xianhu shimmers with clear blue waters, alive with egrets soaring and fish leaping. It features three treasure islands named after three Song Dynasty prime ministers—Yan Shu, Lü Yijian, and Fan Zhongyan—who once served as salt officials in Dongtai. The neat lakeside road winds along the shore, lined on both sides with tall, lush ginkgo and camphor trees. The entire park has a green coverage rate of 75%, bursting with colorful blooms and fragrant flowers all year round. The 6,336-square-meter smart greenhouse is among the best in China. The 13.3-hectare area of connected and steel-frame greenhouses is orderly and spectacular.
