Dongtai Gangan Village History Museum
A national AA-level tourist attraction, located in Gangan Village, Wulie Town. It covers an area of 1.3 hectares, with the exhibition venues occupying 0.27 hectares. The museum features nine exhibition areas: Land Reform, The Road to Cooperation, The People’s Commune, Learn from Dazhai in Agriculture, Household Responsibility System, Village-run Industries, Harmonious Countryside, Charming Huaxi, and Famous Villages of Dongtai. The collection includes 2,350 physical artifacts and 4,450 historical photos and documents, providing a comprehensive display of the rural development in different periods since the Land Reform. In February 2011, it was named Yancheng City’s first base for Party history education and is one of the main attractions on Dongtai City’s “One-Day Tour” itinerary. In 2011, it was successfully rated as a national AA-level tourist attraction.
