Yingzhou Park

Yingzhou Park was first built in January 1983, covering an area of 56 mu, and officially opened to the public in June 1985. The park borders the Yangtze River to the south and faces Chongming Confucian Temple to the north.

The park mainly features plant landscaping with appropriately arranged garden structures. It includes artificially dug lakes such as Xing Lake and Yue Lake, as well as small garden architectural features like Canghai Pavilion, Linbo Pavilion, Youxiang Pavilion, Bifeng Pavilion, and Guanyu Lansheng. There is also a children’s playground for kids.

Entering the 21st century, due to the relatively outdated facilities and small size of the park, which could no longer meet the cultural and leisure needs of the public, a comprehensive renovation and expansion project was carried out in February 2009. The renovated park added many new attractions such as Chen Lake, Taoran Pavilion, Songxiu Pavilion, and Baicao Pavilion. The area was expanded to 69 mu and the park reopened to the public on September 1, 2009.

Take the Shen-Chong shuttle bus line (from West Gate Bus Station in Chengqiao Town to North District Hub Station on Zhongshan North Road) directly; from Baoyang Road Wharf in Baoshan District, you can take a ferry directly to Nandegang Wharf in Chengqiao Town, Chongming; or take the Pengshi Line (from Pengpu New Village to Shidongkou Wharf) to Shidongkou Wharf in Baoshan, then take a boat to Chengqiao Town, Chongming. Walk straight east along Nandemen Road and pass the intersection with Dongmen Road to reach Aoshan Road.

Self-driving route: Middle Ring — Xiangyin Road Tunnel — Wuzhou Avenue — G40 Shanghai–Shaanxi Expressway (Shanghai Yangtze River Tunnel and Bridge) — Chenhai Highway — Gulangyu Road — Aoshan Road — Yingzhou Park.
