Precise positioning delivers twice the result with half the effort – Magellan 610 powers the Gobi Challenge IX

    In May, when orioles sing and grass grows lush, it’s the perfect season for outdoor activities. As the 9th China Business Schools Gobi Challenge is about to kick off, Magellan had the honor of joining the Fudan EMBA Gobi IX team for their running training on Chongming Island and exclusively provided the professional outdoor handheld GPS device, the eXplorist 610, as a navigation tool to assist team members during their outdoor hikes.

 

    The three-day shuttle run training on Chongming covered a total of 91 kilometers. With almost no clear paths on the Chongming beaches, participants had to rely on coordinates and route tracking for navigation. This environment effectively simulated the real conditions of the Gobi Desert, helping the team warm up in advance while also allowing them to quickly become familiar with and proficient in using outdoor GPS positioning and navigation. Through hands-on experience, the precise positioning of the Magellan 610 delivered twice the result with half the effort.
