Global Harmony Amusement Park is situated on the north side of Nanxiang Town in Jiading District, east of the Shanghai–Jiading Expressway, adjacent to National Highway 312, about 23 kilometers from the city center. Spanning 1,200 acres, the park officially opened in September 1996 as a well-developed theme park. It showcases 36 replicas of renowned global landmarks and over 100 other attractions. Most of the attractions are recreated at a 1:1 scale, featuring architectural styles, gardens, and scenic elements from various countries around the world, allowing visitors to experience exotic wonders and immerse themselves in foreign cultures. Guests can enjoy large-scale entertainment activities such as jungle expeditions, space cinemas, horseback riding, car racing, boating, and water skiing. The grand musical and fireworks gala held in Hungarian Square brings the park visit to an exciting climax.

Nanxiang Town: Nanxiang, historically known as Chaxi, got its name from the White Crane Nanxiang Temple built here in the fourth year of the Tianjian era of the Liang Dynasty (505 AD), boasting a history of 1,500 years. The town derived its name from the temple. Since ancient times, Nanxiang has been a bustling hub of commerce and economic prosperity, earning the reputation of “Silver Nanxiang.” In 1991, Nanxiang was listed as one of Shanghai’s four major historic and cultural towns.

Located in the northwest suburbs of Shanghai, Nanxiang serves as the southern gateway to Jiading District. It is 18 kilometers from the city center and just a 15-minute drive from Hongqiao International Airport.
