F1 (Formula One), the highest class of international auto racing sanctioned by the FIA (Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile), is an annual series held across the globe. The races often boost local tourism, and this year’s Shanghai F1 is one of the closest events to Taiwan. For instance, in Shanghai, the race can stimulate the tourism market in surrounding areas such as Shanghai, Zhouzhuang, Kunshan, and Tongli. Moreover, as this marks the first year of the "post-Expo tourism effect," hotel bookings are expected to surge.

The Shanghai International Circuit was designed by Hermann Tilke, known as the “King of Corners,” and is considered world-class. Located in Anting Town, Jiading District, in the northwestern suburbs of Shanghai—about 30 km from the city center and 20 km from Hongqiao International Airport—the circuit offers convenient transportation. With a total investment of 2.6 billion yuan, the site covers approximately 5.3 square kilometers, and its main structures span around 150,000 square meters. It is the third professional F1 racing venue in Asia, following Malaysia’s Sepang and Japan’s Suzuka circuits. The facility is divided into four main zones: the racing circuit area, cultural and entertainment area, commercial exhibition area, and reserved development area. The grandstands on both sides can accommodate about 200,000 spectators, and the architecture blends modern design with traditional Chinese culture.
