On the afternoon of December 30 at the Beijing National Convention Center, the 36 annual routes of the 2017 China Self-Driving Tour Route Selection were officially announced in the presence of partners, opinion leaders, and mainstream media from across the country. At the event, Li Keqi, CEO of Aijia Media, also previewed the “This Life Must Drive G318 – In-Depth Exploration Tour” 2018 China Official Automotive Culture Roadshow to attendees and media. China Official Automotive Culture RoadshowIt is a traveling exhibition of automotive culture, planned and initiated annually by Aijia Media, co-hosted with leading brands in the self-driving tour industry. It attracts nationwide attention and promotes automotive culture through roadshows, exhibitions, and local industry forums as the convoy travels through various cities. Starting in 2017, the focus of the China Official Automotive Culture Roadshow shifted to National Highway 318.
On March 18, 2017, the “Retracing G318: Building a National Highway” 2017 China Official Automotive Culture Roadshow convoy set off from the zero-kilometer mark of National Highway 318. Over 18 stops, 36 days, and 5,476 kilometers, the convoy conducted inspections with a vision of building an auto-tourism industrial belt, promoted the route using the IP method of road-trip tourism, and advanced the establishment of the G318 Self-Driving Tour Industry Alliance through roadshows. During this roadshow, Cooper American Cooper Tires provided its latest extreme off-road tires — the DISCOVERER STT PRO, known as the “Master of Off-Roading” — for vehicle modifications on the convoy, helping the team reach Everest Base Camp and arrive at the endpoint of G318, Nyalam County.
In 2018, the China Official Automotive Culture Roadshow, themed “This Life Must Drive G318 – In-Depth Exploration Tour,” will depart from Jiading, Shanghai, in March.
