Nanxiang Old Street

Nanxiang Old Street (i.e., the Twin Pagodas Historical & Cultural Conservation Area designated by the municipal government) is located in the central area of the ancient town of Nanxiang, covering a planned area of 143,400 square meters. It includes Renmin Street, Gonghe Street, Jiefang Street, and Shengli Street, which are traditional commercial and residential areas. After renovation, the historical ambiance of "Silver Nanxiang" from the late Qing Dynasty and early Republican period has been restored: whitewashed walls and black-tiled roofs, houses standing in varied heights, shops of all sizes lined up in rows; small bridges, flowing water, gardens, corridors, and art shops each with their own charm.

1. From downtown — Huatai Road — Wenshui Road — A12 Shanghai-Jiading Expressway (exit at Nanxiang) — Huyi Highway — Jiefang Street — Nanxiang Old Street Parking Lot (intersection of Jiefang Street and Minzhu Street). 2. From downtown — Wuning Road — Zhenbei Road — Zhennan Road — Huyi Highway — Jiefang Street — Nanxiang Old Street Parking Lot (intersection of Jiefang Street and Minzhu Street).

Public Transport Routes

1. Metro:

Take Metro Line 11 to Nanxiang Station. Walk west for 20 minutes to reach the street, or take Nanxiang Bus Route 2 or 3 to get to Tanzhou Garden.

2. Bus:

Nanxiang Bus Route 2 (Nanxiang Metro Station ~ Jiaohao Road Heyu Road): Get off at Dehua Road Deyuan Road Station, then walk west for 5 minutes.

Nanxiang Bus Route 3 (Nanxiang Metro Station ~ Nanxiang North Railway Station): Get off at Deyuan Road Heping Street Station, then walk west
