The Jiading District Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery is a classic red tourism destination and a patriotic education base.

The Jiading District Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery was built in 1959 and relocated in early 1993. It is now located at No. 486, East Tacheng Road, Jiading District, Shanghai, covering an area of 53 mu. The first phase of the project was completed in March 1994, and the second phase was finished in March 2000. In 2002, the exhibition format and methods of the Revolutionary Martyrs' Historical Materials Exhibition Hall were upgraded, utilizing distinctive modern display techniques such as sound, light, electricity, film and video synthesis, and audiovisual stands to highlight the martyrs' legacies. The main structures of the cemetery include six individual martyr tombstones, 17 group burial niches, one Revolutionary Martyrs' Historical Materials Exhibition Hall, and one Martyrs' Ashes Columbarium. The cemetery commemorates 741 martyrs who sacrificed their lives in various revolutionary periods, including 22 from the First and Second Revolutionary Civil Wars, 43 from the Anti-Japanese War period, 487 from the Liberation War period, and 189 after the founding of the People's Republic of China.

The Jiading District Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery is one of China’s Top 100 Patriotic Education Bases, a Revolutionary Tradition Education Base for Jiading youth, and was designated as a Martyrs’ Memorial Building Protection Unit by both the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government and the Jiading District People’s Government in 1995. It is also recognized as a Shanghai Garden Unit and a Revolutionary Tradition Education Base for Jiading youth. In 2008, it was listed as one of Jiading District’s Integrity Education Bases, in 2009 it was named a Jiading District Patriotic Education Base, and in 2012 it was awarded the title of Shanghai Patriotic Education Base.
