The Wai Gang Guerrilla Memorial Hall serves as a patriotic education base.

The memorial hall was completed and opened to the public in late July 2008. It is located in Yangdian Village, Wai Gang Town, Jiading District — the birthplace of the Wai Gang Guerrilla Unit. The site consists of one main building and one former residence of Comrade Lü Bingkui, covering a total area of over 3,000 square meters, with an exhibition area of more than 120 square meters. It features three exhibition rooms that display over 80 cultural relics, photographs, and historical documents, using various formats such as film, gouache paintings, and sculptures to vividly recreate the glorious history of the Wai Gang Guerrilla Unit under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, as they actively resisted the Japanese invasion and fought bravely. In 2009, the Wai Gang Guerrilla Memorial Hall was designated as a Jiading District Patriotic Education Base.

Wai Gang Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Jiading District, Shanghai. Established as Wai Gang People’s Commune in 1958, became a township in 1983, and was upgraded to a town in 1993. Located in the northwest of the urban area, it covers an area of 24 square kilometers with a population of 20,000.
