Jushan Bridge is a cultural relic protection unit of Jiading District.

Jushan Bridge is located opposite No. 200 on West Street in Jiading Town and dates back to the Ming Dynasty.

Protected area: North – West Street; South – 5 meters beyond the bridge structure; East and West – 10 meters beyond the bridge structure on each side.

Construction control zone: North – West Street; South – 10 meters beyond the protected area; East and West – 20 meters beyond the protected area on each side. No parallel bridges are allowed within the construction control zone.

Jiading Town Subdistrict: Before the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods, an ancient coastline formed at the mouth of the Yangtze River, and human activity was already present along the Lianqi River (now around the Old West Gate Street). By the Liang Tianjian era (502–519), a settlement had formed. During the Tang Dynasty, the ancient town of Jiading got its name from the Lianqi River and was called Lianqi Market. On the ninth day of the twelfth lunar month in the tenth year of the Jiading era of the Southern Song Dynasty (January 7, 1218), the county seat was established and named Jiading after the reign title, a name that has continued to this day. In September 2000, Jiading Town was restructured from a town into a subdistrict.
