The Minhang District Martyrs' Cemetery is a cultural tourism site, a classic red tourism destination, and a patriotic education base.

The Minhang District Martyrs' Cemetery is situated on an island in the recreational park lake, covering an area of 24,600 square meters. Its layout resembles a pipa, with the Welcome Avenue acting as the strings, running along the central axis from east to west across the cemetery. From east to west, the cemetery consists of five sections: the Reception Building, the Office Building, the Memorial Square, the Revolutionary Martyrs' Life and Deeds Exhibition Hall, and the Martyrs' Tomb Area. On the western side of the Memorial Square stands a monument engraved with the inscription “Eternal Glory to the Revolutionary Martyrs” by Comrade Mao Zedong. Further west, ascending the steps, you will find the three-story Revolutionary Martyrs' Life and Deeds Exhibition Hall. The hall is divided into five exhibition rooms: the Figures Room, the Liberation Room, the Literature Room, the Film and Television Room, and the Dual-Support National Defense Education Room. To the west of the exhibition hall lies the Martyrs' Tomb Area, covering over 8,000 square meters, laid out in terraced fields. It is the final resting place of 183 revolutionary martyrs who sacrificed their lives during various periods in battle or while on duty.

Since opening to the public free of charge during the Qingming Festival in 2004, the cemetery has welcomed over 100,000 visitors, including families of martyrs and people from all walks of life. The cemetery regularly provides free services for admission to the Communist Party, the Communist Youth League, and the Young Pioneers for visiting groups. To enhance patriotic education for minors, the cemetery has established moral education bases with six nearby schools and actively builds communication and learning platforms for young volunteers.
