The floor of the Eiffel Tower goes transparent—enjoy a skywalk 60 meters above the ground

The globally beloved Paris Eiffel Tower now has another reason to attract repeat visitors. Starting today, the "Skywalk Zone" newly opened on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower allows tourists to walk on floors made of transparent tempered glass, experiencing the thrill of looking straight down from 60 meters above the ground.

The Eiffel Tower turns 125 this year, and to celebrate its 125th anniversary, the tower has designated four "Skywalk Zones" on the first floor starting from the 6th of this month. The floors in these areas have been replaced with transparent tempered glass, allowing visitors to not only look down at the Champ de Mars through the windows but also gaze at the crowds walking beneath their feet.

Paris Mayor Annie Hidalgo also stated on her official Twitter account that she hopes all visitors will enjoy the heart-pounding experience in the newly renovated first-floor skywalk area.
