The Minhang District Archives serves as a patriotic education base.

The Minhang District Archives is a centralized repository and utilization base for the district’s important archives. The archives adhere to the goal of building a “five-in-one” public archives facility, focusing on exploring their collections and actively promoting patriotic education through unique archival resources. In conjunction with the construction of the new archives building, an 800-square-meter exhibition titled “Witnessing History — The Minhang District Archives Historical Materials Exhibition” has been established, comprehensively showcasing the historical development and social changes in Minhang. Regular temporary exhibitions, lectures, and themed activities are held around major events and important memorial days. The archives actively engage in collaborative initiatives with communities and campuses. It has become a youth archival education practice base, a training site for aspiring Party members, and a volunteer service hub, gradually emerging as an important window for disseminating regional history and culture, promoting contemporary advanced culture, and engaging in external publicity. In recent years, the Minhang District Archives has been designated as a National First-Class Archives and a Municipal Patriotic Education Base, and has received honors such as Advanced Collective in the National Archives System and Shanghai Civilized Unit.
