The park is themed around evergreen plant communities, featuring a variety of landscaping styles such as flower-bordered open woodlands and grasslands, densely planted windbreak forests, large-tree lawns, and aquatic and wetland plant communities. The plant selection is rich, with nearly 120 species used, including around 40 new and superior varieties. Overall, the design primarily utilizes distinctive regional plants as both foundational and structural tree species, creating dense green canopies. A comprehensive approach considers seasonal changes to highlight the abundance and vibrancy of spring blossoms, while incorporating some new and superior varieties to reflect Minhang District’s overall character of “dynamic innovation and vibrant charm.” It serves as a natural ecological park for local residents, offering functions such as sightseeing, leisure, fitness, and recreation.
