Mount Weihu City — located at the 210-kilometer mark of National Highway 301 in the Mount Weihu Scenic Area, it draws inspiration from the historical context of the novel *The Snowy Wilderness*, vividly recreating the historical landscape and the heroic feats of the anti-bandit campaign. It not only fills a gap in China’s northern film and television city offerings but also serves as a comprehensive tourist destination that combines sightseeing, vacationing, returning to nature, and patriotic education with all aspects of travel — eating, accommodation, transportation, tours, and entertainment.

Covering a total area of 300,000 square meters with a built-up area of 18,000 square meters and 107 individual structures, Mount Weihu City embodies the architectural style of northern mountain towns from the late Qing Dynasty and early Republican period up to before the founding of the People’s Republic of China. The city consists of five main scenic areas: the Grand City Gate Tower, which resembles an ancient city gate in appearance and has a built-up area of 1,500 square meters; Weihu Town, consisting of 56 individual buildings with gray bricks, gray tiles, wooden windows and doors, offering an antique charm and distinctive styles; and the Divine River Temple, with a built-up area of 400 square meters, situated against the mountain and facing the sun, regarded as the spiritual root of Mount Weihu City.

The area features dense forests, lush vegetation, towering peaks, and rugged rocks, showcasing typical northeastern mountain scenery. It is also the actual site of the anti-bandit operations described in the novel *The Snowy Wilderness*, where heroes such as Yang Zirong once fought and lived for extended periods.

Mount Weihu Film and Television City is a large-scale production base built for the TV series *The Great Heroes* and based on the plots and environments depicted in the novel *The Snowy Wilderness*. It mainly includes Weihu Town, the Weihu Hall, the Divine River Temple, Jiapi Gully Village, as well as various wooden houses, blockhouses, secret tunnels, recreating the scenes of the battles between the Liberation Army and bandits at that time. The film city not only features distinctive rural northeastern architecture but also offers many food and entertainment options rich in northeastern folk culture, providing endless enjoyment for visitors.
