Noble Ginkgo Grove

Noble Ginkgo Grove — Ginkgo groves along the roadsides, in villages, and at the foot of mountains from Haiyang Township in Lingchuan County to Gaoshang Town in Xing'an County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

Noble Ginkgo Grove is located about 30 kilometers south of the county town, near the source of the Xiang River, and stretches along both sides of the Guixing Highway. This area spans approximately 10 square kilometers and is covered with ginkgo groves, including the Liulan Ginkgo Garden which has over 3,000 trees. Ginkgo trees are rare plants that survived the Quaternary Ice Age, featuring tall and straight trunks and gracefully swaying branches, creating a captivating landscape.

In late autumn, the ginkgo leaves in Gaoshang Town, Xing'an County, Guilin City gradually turn yellow, covering the ground like a “golden carpet,” painting picturesque and enchanting scenes around the villages and attracting tourists from all over to take photos. Gaoshang Town boasts rich rural tourism resources and beautiful natural scenery, and is known as the “Home of Ginkgo.” It is reported that Guilin will rebuild a secondary highway from Lingchuan County through Lingtian Town to Gaoshang Town, spanning 40.105 kilometers in total with an investment of about 690 million yuan, making it more convenient for visitors to enjoy the ginkgo scenery during autumn and winter.
