Located 5 km south of Wulajie Commune, between Wan Brigade and Fu Brigade, at the junction of the front and rear Futaotong Rivers and the Songhua River, the site has a square layout with only a southern gate. The city wall is constructed from rammed earth, with external structures such as battlements and a barbican. Remains of a protective moat are found outside the city. Aside from localized damage to the northern part of the eastern wall and two openings in the western and northern walls created for irrigation canals, the rest of the structure remains relatively intact.

Wulajie Town: Wulajie is situated within Longtan District, a national high-tech industry cluster zone in Jilin City, Jilin Province. It lies along the upper reaches of the Songhua River, in the original alluvial plain segment shaped by the river. To the south is Longtan Mountain, to the north it connects to Phoenix Pavilion, to the west borders the Songhua River, and to the east it leans against the various ranges of the Changbai Mountains. Covering an area of 188 square kilometers, it is a fertile and resource-rich area with well-developed agriculture.

Once an ancient city and now a town, Wulajie is a long-established cultural hub of Dongbei (northeastern China) along the Songhua River.
