Taiwan has many beautiful hidden spots, some of which are often overlooked. This time, we’re introducing a location by Shimen Reservoir in Longtan District, Taoyuan — the banks of the Dahan River. It’s the Sankeng Nature Ecological Park, covering about 3.8 hectares, and primarily features a large ecological lake along with surrounding grassy rest areas. The entire Sankeng Nature Ecological Park was constructed using eco-engineering methods and is planted with a variety of native flowers, grasses, and trees. The ecological park blends harmoniously with the natural landscape and includes amenities such as rest parks, pavilions, wooden arch bridges, and water play channels. It also connects to the Sankeng bicycle path, creating a space for leisure, exercise, and fitness.

The surroundings of Sankeng Ecological Park lack industrial development and are close to the reservoir dam, offering stunning lake and mountain scenery. The large green slopes and grassy areas by the pond create a serene and tranquil atmosphere. In autumn, the Taiwanese flame trees add touches of soft red to the lush green environment, making the scenery particularly beautiful.
