Situated at the intersection of Dagangzi Township in Da’an City, Bamian Township in Tongyu County, and Erlong Township in Taonan City, Jilin Province. It spans over 50,000 hectares and is a natural hunting area authorized by the State Forestry Administration of China. The 4,000-hectare forested area features dappled tree shades, expansive grasslands, open valleys, and sprawling reed beds, with the Nalin River system flowing gently to the south and the Tao’er River surging to the north. To the west lies the Niuxintao Fort Reed Field, while to the east extends the boundless Jiangjiadian Grassland — a vibrant, thriving landscape.

A large variety of rare birds and animals make their nests here and thrive. With 36 species of mammals across 6 orders and 13 families, and 46 species of waterfowl across 6 orders and 12 families, they account for over 44% of Jilin Province’s total wildlife species. Wild ducks, swans, and red-crowned cranes dance gracefully, while pheasants, hares, foxes, roe deer, and Mongolian gazelles roam the forests. In the southern part of the hunting ground grow reeds, spike rushes, rush grasses, bulrushes, and water lilies. The area teems with aquatic life, including various fish, shrimp, clams, and mollusks, providing an ideal habitat for waterfowl. The hunting ground is divided into nine designated zones for hunting, categorized by waterfowl, mammals, and grassland birds. Hunting seasons are in spring and autumn, spanning about 100 days. Though remote and sparsely populated, the area enjoys year-round accessibility via convenient transportation, making it an optimal destination for hunting tourism.

In the central part of the hunting ground lie over 4,000 hectares of planted forest and boundless grasslands, home to 36 species of mammals that make up 44.4% of Jilin Province’s total mammal population. Birds are the main highlight here, with 46 species. Spot-billed ducks, green-winged teals, and falcated ducks frolic on the water and soar through the sky. Rare and protected bird species such as swans, herons, red-crowned cranes, white cranes, grey cranes, and great bustards gather here during migration.
