Nestled in the alleys of Taipei’s Da’an District, an old European-style wooden door on the street opens up to what feels like a fairy tale from Europe. The city-designated historic mosque is located on Xinsheng South Road in Da’an District. Built in 1958, it is one of the earliest Islamic structures in modern Taiwan. The architecture reflects Islamic design features, including a dome, colonnade, and minaret. The main prayer hall boasts a large-span space with an indoor height and width of 15 meters each, featuring a column-free interior and a solemn exterior. Its dome and minaret are among Taipei’s iconic landmarks.

The new restaurant “Two Rooms Garden LivinGreen,” renovated from a 1960s Japanese-style three-story building, is tucked away in the alleys of Taipei.
