Wujianfang Reservoir is located in the western part of Da’an City, covering a water area of 27 square kilometers with a storage capacity of 26.7 million cubic meters. It boasts over 30 varieties of freshwater fish, including carp, crucian carp, catfish, grass carp, and bighead carp. In 1989, it set a record by catching 420,000 kilograms of fish.

The Water Island Amusement Park is nestled among the islands in a tripod-like formation. Dayangshu Island is the main island, featuring a large restaurant serving boiled river fish in river water, picnic stoves that allow visitors to enjoy a rustic outdoor dining experience, as well as karaoke, dance, and group entertainment halls where guests can revel in the joy of nature. There are also couples' rooms for romantic getaways. The island is fully equipped with sports facilities and offers a wide range of recreational amenities.

Crossing an arched bridge leads to Magpie Island, where birds sing and flowers bloom, making it an ideal spot for summer retreats. The island features wooden villas with two-story cottages, offering an elegant environment, unique decor, and attentive service. It combines accommodation and dining, and also includes a simply styled Buddhist hall. Both inside and out, the hall is magnificent, making it a wonderful place for worshippers to fulfill their wishes. There’s also a zoo and an aquarium. If you visit Magpie Island, this is where you’ll find the most stunning scenery.

A zigzag bridge takes visitors to Golden Wuzu Island. On the south side, there’s a fishing platform and fishing house built based on the legend of Golden Wuzu fishing, allowing tourists to cast their lines while reflecting on ancient times. The north side of the island has a swimming area and water boats. Dozens of yurts among pavilions and flower bushes add a touch of ethnic charm to the park. The lakeside restaurant is uniquely designed, and the Everbright City adds a novel flair, accentuating the park’s riverside ambiance and giving visitors a feeling of being in a fairyland.

The island is shaded by lush trees, with various flowers blooming competitively. Butterflies flutter among the blossoms, swallows and sparrows fly freely in the sky, and all kinds of fish leap in the water, creating a natural painting. Boating here truly gives the sensation of sailing on emerald waves while floating in a living painting.

During the flood season of the Tao’er River, visitors can also take a boat to Wild Duck Island, Clam Island, Mandarin Duck Island... As the boat glides gently along, water plants sway gracefully, wild ducks gather in small groups, and waterfowl dart overhead, quacking incessantly. It’s truly a scene where “geese dance and gulls fly, startling fairies; blue waters and white sands move the hearts of travelers,” leaving one enchanted and reluctant to leave. (Mou Shaomeng)
