The architectural site is situated on a terrace about 1 li north of Chunyang Reservoir in the northwest of Hongyun Village (formerly known as Goryeo Village), Chunyang Town, Wangqing County. It measures 38 meters from north to south and 23 meters from east to west, with an earthen mound approximately 0.5 meters high covered densely with roof tiles. The site has now been converted into farmland. Excavations have uncovered foundation stones, impressed-pattern roof tiles, mortise-and-tenon tubular tiles, and lotus-petal-patterned tile ends, suggesting that this was an architectural site from the Bohai period, possibly an important way station along the Bohai “Japan Route.”
