Bukuli Mountain is located 10 kilometers west of Jiangyuan Town, on the northern bank of the Mudan River, within the territory of Shiba Dao Gou Village. Its highest peak, Daiyun Peak, stands at an elevation of 863 meters and covers an area of approximately 5 square kilometers. The mountain has a conical shape, resembling a round hat, and is locally referred to as "Maor Shan" (Hat Mountain). Bukuli Mountain stands alone in its scenic beauty, covered with lush vegetation, and is home to a variety of wild vegetables and precious medicinal herbs such as ginseng. The mountaintop is often shrouded in mist, offering breathtaking views and numerous beautiful legends that add to its charm.

The trees on Bukuli Mountain grow tall and dense, forming part of the broad-leaved forest zone. A path winds through the mountain, varying in steepness with the terrain. Halfway up the mountain, there is a natural stone stairway, with each step ascending sharply at slopes of over 45 degrees. According to locals, wild ginseng can be found along the trail, with several to dozens of large ginseng plants emerging each year. It’s truly an exquisite mountain. Along the hiking trail stand three massive rocks, each over ten meters tall, characterized by their relatively flat surfaces. The summit of Daiyun Peak features a flat area of about two to three hundred square meters, in the center of which stands a red-brick forest fire watchtower that is staffed during the fire prevention season. Climbing the tower offers a panoramic view — mountains stretching out as far as the eye can see, the Mudan River winding eastward like a jade ribbon, scattered villages, fertile fields, sparkling reservoirs, and emerald-green mountain ranges extending to the horizon. The vast view and stunning scenery are truly uplifting.

In summer, Bukuli Mountain is covered in lush green foliage, with birds chirping among the trees. Wildflowers of every hue blanket the hills and valleys like a colorful carpet, where pheasants and mountain finches thrive. The harmonious coexistence of flora and fauna creates a beautiful symphony of nature.

The top of Bukuli Mountain features a roughly 50-meter-wide flat platform, on which a fire watchtower has been built. Extending from the platform's northwest, southwest, and southeast are three mountain ridges with steep cliffs and towering rock walls and pillars, creating both perilous and awe-inspiring landscapes that captivate visitors. When visiting Bukuli Mountain, you can experience the joy of foraging for wild vegetables and also taste distinctive forest-grown vegetables and local specialties.
