The N°168 PRIME Steakhouse Dunhua Branch, which began trial operations ahead of SOGO Department Store’s anniversary sale on November 11, announced on the 25th that it will officially open in December. Lü Peihua, special assistant to the chairman of Victoria Hotel, stated that although trial operations started on the 11th, many decorations and facilities were not yet fully in place. For example, the private room that can accommodate up to 50 people was only completed today (the 25th). Many decorative artworks and ornaments have also not been positioned yet. Lü Peihua joked that even the tablecloths aren’t ready, though he noted that younger customers seem not to mind – which has him considering whether to keep these somewhat “old-fashioned” tablecloths.
The five-star Victoria Hotel in Dazhi has officially expanded into Taipei’s East District, with its steakhouse, N°168 PRIME, located on the 7th floor of the renovated Dunhua SOGO Department Store. The entire floor spans 300 ping, including kitchen facilities, and accommodates five private rooms with approximately 150 seats in total. The restaurant design showcases a unique style – the Dunhua branch features a fashionable artistic ambiance with metal materials, combining dynamic abstract ceiling art with Art Deco decorative elements, infusing the classic and luxurious steakhouse atmosphere with contemporary artistic beauty.

The Dunhua branch also uses the imported Australian Beech Oven super-dream grill, where imported oak is placed inside the oven along with the beef for smoking. Each bite of beef retains its juicy tenderness while adding a subtle fragrance. In addition to the steak dishes from the N°168 PRIME Steakhouse at the main Victoria Hotel, the menu introduces new signature offerings themed “A Tribute to the Masters,” featuring special dishes from Michelin-starred chefs the hotel has collaborated with over the years. While the main steak offerings haven’t changed much, some differences can be found in the appetizers. Lü Peihua had initially wanted to completely refresh the menu, but since the branch has just opened, changes will be gradually introduced until the menu differs entirely from the main branch.
The space at N°168 PRIME Steakhouse Dunhua is divided into three areas: an open kitchen seating area, a semi-open banquet area, and a private room area. The open kitchen is the highlight of the entire steakhouse. It reintroduces the Australian Beech Ovens super-dream grill, using imported American white oak as the firewood specially used in the oven, cooking the beef together with the wood. Each bite of beef retains its juicy tenderness while adding a subtle fragrance, locking in the original flavor of the premium beef. The oak smoke further enhances the overall flavor of the beef, providing every customer with a top-tier taste experience.

In addition to classic steaks from the main branch – such as the U.S. Select Gourmet Steak, U.S. Prime Ribeye Steak, U.S. Montana Dry-Aged Ribeye Steak, Australian Selected i? 00-Day Gourmet Steak, Australian 9+ Wagyu, and more – the N°168 PRIME Steakhouse Dunhua also offers Spanish Iberico Pork Gourmet & Taiwan Local Sausages, Live Boston Lobster from the Deep Sea, U.S., Australian Premium chilled Lamb Chops, and more. Lunch sets start from NT$900, while dinner sets start from NT$1,750. Additionally, any dish from the BAR MANU menu paired with a sommelier-selected wine or cocktail is available starting from NT$800.
Over the past eight years since its opening, Victoria Hotel has invited Michelin-starred and winery-chef chefs from various countries for regular culinary exchanges and workshops. The N°168 PRIME Steakhouse Dunhua Branch, which ventures into the East District, especially focuses on “A Tribute to the Masters,” re-presenting the collaborative gourmet menus developed with star chefs over the years. Examples include pan-seared abalone, Yilan Cherry Valley Wild Duck Breast with Five-Spice Pepper and Foie Gras Corn Mousse, and more.
