Dunhua Qiuligou National Wetland Park is a national-level wetland park.

Jilin Dunhua Qiuligou National Wetland Park is situated at the northern foot of the Changbai Mountains and on the upper reaches of the Mudanjiang River, within the Mudanjiang river source wetland area. It covers the Qiuligou Forest Farm and Xinkailing Forest Farm of Dunhua City. The wetland park extends 12 km from east to west and 10 km from north to south, with a total area of 4,734 hectares, including 2,584.6 hectares of various types of wetlands, accounting for a wetland coverage rate of 54.6%. Since last year, following applications by relevant departments in Jilin Province, the State Forestry Administration organized experts to conduct a rigorous evaluation of Dunhua Qiuligou Wetland Park according to established criteria and standards. The environmental quality assessment rated it as “excellent,” with the water environment quality of the “park” being good—wetland water quality meets Class III standards of the Surface Water Environmental Quality Standards. Soil quality largely remains at natural background levels, adhering to first-class standards. There are no atmospheric pollution sources within or around the “park,” and ambient air quality is good, meeting the requirements of Class II standards of the Ambient Air Quality Standards, with high environmental capacity for TSP, SO2, and NO2. Additionally, there are no residential areas or industrial/mining enterprises within or around the “park,” and the acoustic environment quality meets the requirements of Class I standards of the Acoustic Environment Quality Standards.

Qiuligou Town: Located between 127°47′ and 128°16′ east longitude, and 43°26′ and 43°33′ north latitude, it is 20 kilometers northwest of Dunhua City. The total area is 303.9 square kilometers, including 3,263 hectares of arable land. The forested area covers 24,876 hectares, with 3,400 households and a population of 10,803 people, consisting of 5,547 males and 5,256 females. There are 14 natural villages, 12 villagers' committees, and all 12 villages have road access by vehicle. Tap water is available in 11 villages, and program-controlled telephone services are accessible in all 12 villages.
