Shidong Garden is located on Nanshidao Street in Xigang District, with a planned area of 6,800 square meters. The green space covers 5,200 square meters, roads and squares occupy 1,600 square meters, and the total investment is 3 million yuan. It is the only open-air cultural, entertainment, and leisure venue in the Shidao Street area. The garden is designed with two entrances, one in the north and one in the south. The southern part features two platforms, which are connected to the circular platform, crescent platform, and entrances via natural pathways. The northern part of the garden includes a small parking lot and a large amusement square.

In terms of plant arrangement, the garden mainly features evergreen trees such as Chinese juniper, pine, and cedar, along with seasonal flowers and flowering shrubs. The eastern slope is very steep, so vertical greening is emphasized, with 2,800 plants of roses, Boston ivy, and Virginia creeper. The gentler slopes on both sides are primarily planted with cedars and ornamental lawns, accented with some flowering plants. There are 633 tall trees including silk tree, smoketree, juniper, and Chinese juniper, as well as 6,000 flowering shrubs such as golden juniper, lilac, forsythia, crabapple, and spreading cotoneaster. Additionally, 14,000 flowers and 3,000 square meters of turf are planted.
