Midi belongs to all music lovers, including our children. During the New Year’s holiday in 2014, the Children's Midi will host grand parties simultaneously in both Beijing and Shenzhen, where children will welcome the arrival of 2014 together with Midi through music.
2014 Shenzhen Midi "Kids' Zone" Shines with Highlights — Three Days of Unmissable Performances
The 2014 Shenzhen Midi Festival — a grand production by Kaisa Group — will be held from December 31, 2013, to January 2, 2014, at the Dachang Sports Center in Longgang District, Shenzhen. This year’s festival has once again set up a dedicated "Kids' Zone" area for children. To ensure kids can safely enjoy three days of musical revelry, the Midi team has meticulously designed the Kids’ Stage, with strict oversight on safety facilities and sound system planning. The site will also feature a free art creation zone and a percussion experience area for children to participate in. As of now, outstanding children's bands from across the country — including those from Beijing, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, and Sichuan — have signed up to perform on the Kids' Stage. Most of these children have received years of musical training and have already been active on stages of various sizes in their regions. The super-cute duo Super Ming and the rock band Double Dragon Brothers are even family-formed musical groups.
Young drummers from Shenzhen Drumtown have prepared a special "Tribute to Metallica" mini drummers' showcase exclusively for this Shenzhen Midi Festival, along with stellar performances by talented students such as Niu Niu and Zhang Haoran, alongside the Nth Power Band. Meanwhile, the TAO Times Kids' Happy African Drum Group, Little Rascals Family, and Minghui Kids’ Percussion Ensemble are also expected to deliver exciting performances. The Midi exemplary band lineup, including the Left Bin Band, Sutang Band, and 4U Band, will also bring extraordinary and thrilling rock performances to children over the three days.
Kids' New Year Party in Beijing Synchronizes the Fun — Get Wild at Future Plaza on the 31st
Kids who couldn’t make it to the Shenzhen Midi event shouldn’t be disappointed. On December 31, 2013, at Beijing’s Ocean Future Plaza (No. 73, Northeast Fourth Ring Road, Chaoyang District), a synchronized Children’s New Year Party will take place alongside the Shenzhen event. Running from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, the Beijing event retains all the content of the Shenzhen Kids' Zone. Children can watch performances by child bands, enjoy graffiti, painting and handicrafts, play games, learn drumming — and best of all, the event is free of charge. Kids can bring used books to exchange for recycled paper notebooks at the reception desk of the environmental group Green Frog, or bring old cardboard boxes, mineral water bottles, and french fry containers to join in craft activities and earn gifts. The One Yuan Genuine Team will also be selling genuine records for just one yuan. The Double Dragon Brothers and Left Bin Band have even postponed their Shenzhen Midi schedules specially for this, vowing to let Beijing’s children experience the same electric festival atmosphere. Ocean Future Plaza has also prepared New Year gifts for the young attendees. Let’s look forward to this extraordinary New Year’s Eve together.
The "Children's Midi" arts project is a youth music culture brand created by the Midi Music School. Since 2010, it has organized more than ten outdoor music-themed events for children in cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen, where children can experience music firsthand, engage in creative expression, and find boundless joy through music.
