This year, the MIDI Festival is scheduled to take place as planned from April 29 to May 1 and from May 3 to 5 in Beijing and Shanghai respectively. After stops in Beijing, Zhenjiang, Shanghai, Rizhao, and Guiyang, the MIDI Festival continues its journey southward. For the first time, it will venture into Lingnan and rock the stage at the Longgang Universiade Center in Shenzhen. With “20 Years of MIDI School” as its annual theme, the festival will resonate the symphony of rock culture and youth culture across North, East, and South China.

Festival Director Zhang Fan revealed: “Kaisa Group sincerely invited us to visit the Shenzhen Universiade Center for an on-site inspection, hoping to introduce China’s largest music festival to Shenzhen. We were also very satisfied with the Universiade Center venue, and quickly reached a cooperation intention for the Shenzhen Midi Festival and signed the agreement. The project was later reported to the Longgang District government, which also gave strong support. Everyone has great confidence in the Shenzhen Midi Festival.”
On Midi’s official Weibo account, news of the Shenzhen Midi Festival’s launch quickly garnered over 4,000 discussions and reposts. “The Shenzhen Midi Festival will not only reach audiences in Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian, as well as Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, but will even extend to Central China,” Zhang Fan said confidently. “We are a national-level music festival that has built up a huge fan base over 13 years. I have great confidence in the Shenzhen Midi Festival and am eagerly looking forward to its launch.
