Midi belongs to all music lovers, including our children. During the 2014 New Year holiday, the Children's Midi will host grand parties simultaneously in both Beijing and Shenzhen, where kids will welcome the arrival of 2014 together with Midi through music.

2014 Shenzhen Midi "Kids’ Zone" Shines with Highlights – Three Days of Unmissable Performances
The 2014 Shenzhen Midi Festival – produced by Kaisa – will be held from December 31, 2013 to January 2, 2014 at the Dàyùn Center in Longgang District, Shenzhen. This year’s festival continues to feature a dedicated "Kids’ Zone" area for children. To ensure kids can safely enjoy three days of musical celebration, the Midi team has carefully designed the Kids’ Stage, rigorously overseeing safety facilities and sound system plans. The site will also include a free art creation area and a percussion experience zone for children to participate in. So far, outstanding children's bands from across the country—including Beijing, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, and Sichuan—have registered to perform on the Kids’ Stage. Most of these children have received several years of music training and are already active on stages of various sizes in their regions. The super-cute duo and the Double Dragon Brothers are even rock groups formed by family members.
Young drummers from Shenzhen Drumtown have prepared a special mini-drummer performance titled “Tribute to Metallica” exclusively for this Shenzhen Midi Festival, along with brilliant performances by talented students such as Niuniu and Zhang Haoran with the N-Cube Band. Meanwhile, the Tao Times Kids’ Happy African Drum Group, the Little Rascals Family, and the Minghui Kids’ Percussion Ensemble are also expected to deliver exciting shows. The Midi role model bands, including the Zuobin Band, the Sutang Band, and the 4U Band, will bring extraordinary and thrilling rock performances to the kids over the three days.

Beijing Kids’ New Year Party Also Kicks Off with Excitement – Party at Future Plaza on the 31st
Children who couldn’t make it to the Shenzhen Midi don’t have to miss out. On December 31, 2013, at Beijing Ocean Future Plaza (No. 73, Northeast Fourth Ring Road, Chaoyang District), a synchronized Children’s New Year Party will take place alongside the Shenzhen event. From 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, the event will feature all the content of the Shenzhen Kids’ Zone. Children can watch performances by kid bands, enjoy graffiti, painting, crafts, games, and drumming lessons – and the best part? The event is free of charge. Kids can bring old books to exchange for recycled paper notebooks at the booth of the environmental group Green Frog, or bring old cardboard boxes, plastic bottles, and chip bags to join craft-making activities and get gifts. The One Yuan Authentic Team will sell genuine records for just one yuan on-site. The Double Dragon Brothers and Zuobin Band have even postponed their Shenzhen Midi schedule specially to ensure that children in Beijing can also feel the electric festival atmosphere. Ocean Future Plaza has also prepared New Year gifts for the young attendees. Let’s look forward to this extraordinary New Year’s Eve together.
The “Children’s Midi” art project is a youth music culture brand created by the Midi Music School. Since 2010, it has organized more than ten outdoor music-themed events for children in cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen. At these events, children experience music, engage in free creative expression, and find endless joy through music.
