Everyone knows about Dapeng Peninsula, but after many hikers trekked across the entire peninsula, they discovered that the most beautiful beach among the many islands is at Hongpaijiao. This is a place most people can't easily reach.
Hongpaijiao gets its name from the red-colored rocks in the surrounding area. The shapes of the coastal rocks are rugged and varied, with colorful hues, and the most beautiful scenery of the entire journey unfolds here. Sit on the sheltered red rocks to rest, with Xizhou Island clearly visible not far away. Paired with the breathtaking sea view, it instantly refreshes the mind and lifts the spirit.
At the final stretch, you’ll also pass a beautiful pebble beach, where oddly shaped pebbles dazzle the eyes — each one looks so beautiful, each one you’d love to take home.
Special reminder:This location is quite special and generally not well known. Even if people know about it, few actually dare to explore it. Many parts require climbing cliffs along the seaside, so it is not recommended to attempt the trek unless you are an experienced outdoor professional equipped with climbing ropes and support personnel.

This is a pristine private beach in Nan'ao, free from bustling crowds or hordes of tourists. You can sit by the sea, gaze at the ocean, and enjoy a moment of quiet contemplation, freely savoring the leisurely holiday time. (PS: Yougan Bay is located within the Yougan Bay Resort in Nan'ao, Shenzhen. It is not a public beach and is only open to resort guests.)

From downtown Shenzhen, take the Eastern Coastal Expressway, then transfer to Yabao Expressway, exit at Kuichong, turn left toward Dapeng and Nan'ao (passing through Diefu Mountain Tunnel and Leigong Mountain Tunnel), then turn right after reaching Nan'ao Subdistrict Office. Follow the signs and drive along the coastline to reach Yougan Bay. ② If you take a bus to Nan'ao, you can also rent a car locally. The distance from Nan'ao to Yougan Bay is about 9 kilometers.
3Enshang VillageShenzhen’s only paradise untouched by industrial pollution
Enshang Village on Wutong Mountain is the highest-altitude ancient village in Shenzhen. Reports say it is the only village in the city completely free from industrial pollution. The small village faces east and sits against the west, with a large expanse of farmland in front where various vegetables are grown, creating layers of green that are a feast for the eyes. Behind the village, at its highest point, lies Shenzhen’s tallest peak—Wutong Mountain.
Enshang Village was originally called “An’Shang Village,” possibly because there used to be a Guanyin Nunnery at the foot of the village. The entire village has only about 90 residents, and most of the houses are old two-story buildings built in the 1980s. The low ceilings and narrow staircases give visitors the feeling of traveling back in time by decades.

Transportation: When hiking up from the southern entrance of Wutong Mountain, Enshang Village is a must-pass spot. By car, take Haishan Road from Sha Tau Kok, then enter a wide winding mountain road called Enshang Highway. After driving about 10 minutes along the mountain road, you’ll see a small valley surrounded by mountains and shaded by green trees—Enshang Village is nestled in this valley.
4Meisha JianA hidden gem for hiking known to few
Shenzhen has so many mountains that they’re practically countless. But the ones you might know of—Wutong Mountain, Bijia Mountain, Da Nan Shan, Lianhua Mountain—are just the “famous” ones. Every weekend, these peaks are packed with people. Looking for a quieter place to unwind? Head to Meisha Jian.
Meisha Jian is the third highest peak in Shenzhen, sparsely populated. Its summit resembles a sharp cone, and at its foot lies the sea, with the beautiful Dameisha Beach along the coast—hence its name. From the top, you can overlook the scenic views of OCT East, Dameisha and Xiaomeisha, and the Sanzhoutian Scenic Area. Moreover, Meisha Jian offers a blend of mountain and water scenery, with simple and beautiful landscapes. After living in the city for too long, breathing the fresh air here feels absolutely wonderful.
